Role and Responsibilities
As a Technical Reviewer Product Certification, you will conduct product review, evaluation, sample selection, witness testing and initial audits for a wide range of Food Equipment products and materials to the NSF/ANSI Standards for Food Equipment. The Technical Reviewer is a key role in certification process and ensuring the quality of certification for clients. This role performs a wide range of technical, administrative and customer-related duties with varying complexity.
Principal Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
· Perform certification reviews of products, client documentation, physical evaluations, sample selection for testing, test reports and onsite audits against established policies/guidelines/standards.
· Determines required follow-up for certification/non-certification (if applicable).
· Determines required compliance testing and evaluation; documents testing results as required for certification or registration services.
· Performs quality assurance reviews of documentation/inspection reports/Test reports against established guidelines/standards; determines required follow-up for certification/non-certification (if applicable).
· Serve as mentor/trainer and provide technical support for Account Managers to improve technical understanding, competency, and application.
· Contact clients to review findings and outstanding issues and provide technical support by clarifying any technical requirements and issues as needed.
· Create product summaries, findings and other certification documents.
· Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
· Assist with development and/or updating SOPs and/or client forms.
· Represent NSF at industry events such as trade shows, conferences and meetings.
· Actively participate in accreditation activities, as appropriate.
· Conduct initial audits, as assigned.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years related work experience in the food equipment manufacturing Industry, experience with food equipment regulations or certification or working with NSF Standards or equivalent.
· Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication ability both in English and Mandarin.
· Ability to clearly communicate complex and technical concepts.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
· Demonstrated project and time management skills.
· Ability to travel up to 30% of the time for client evaluations.
Preferred Skills
· General knowledge of the food industry (mechanical background/apt).
· Working knowledge and experience with NSF/ANSI Standards for Food Equipment.
